_ I’ve been working on a bunch of new appliqué templates and having fun with text.  The first set is my new Love Letter Appliqués. Download the free quilt instructions (pictured bottom left) on the free pattern page. There are lots of pictures in the instructions.

You could also draw your own letters or use shapes you already have to make the quilt (Accuquilt?).  I made the template shapes in two sizes but you can enlarge or reduce the shapes to the size you need on a photo copier.  So far I have made the quilt in the picture, a bigger quilt with the larger letters for my granddaughter, a pillow top and I have an idea for a pincushion.  Will post pictures as those projects get finished. Camera battery died so the pillow top picture will have to wait.

And... there is a new quilt to be quilted on the longarm.  Very large - Log Cabin in the positive/negative setting. Betty did a beautiful job. It will be fun to work on it.

Hey I will send Love Letter templates free to the first 5 people who comment here.
This quilt just does not photograph well but if you look close you can see that I added granddaughter's name for the bottom row. Fun and the colors are so soft.  It came out very girly.

This is adorable :)
It was lovely to meet you yesterday. I'm enjoying your website and finding lots of new quilting ideas. I see you provide longarm quilting services! Please tell me you're staying in the area. I've been wanting to try a larger quilt, but doing the actual quilting part would be difficult on my basic sewing machine. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to trying your Peek-a-Bear pattern. Thank you again!

Aloha Robin!
Still working on the hibiscus & whales but have the hibiscus tops done. We got the patterns in the mail at Vicky's today. Wow! That was some fast shipping. Hope to finish them this weekend. I have to wash batik before I use it as the smell when ironing really bothers me, so I will get the whale fabric prepped in the morning.
It would be great if I could get the letters & hearts for this very cute LOVE quilt. I love how lacy the pink one is. You're right - very girly - just the way I like them!
Thanks, Nancy

Aloha Nancy! Glad the patterns arrived so quickly and you are so fast with the quilts. Send a picture when you get them finished. I will get the Love Letters Appliques in the mail to you tomorrow. The girly quilt was made with the Lily and Will line from Bunny Hill Designs/Moda. You can probably still get it. Enjoy your Easter day and thanks.
