Hi,
Thanks for visiting the Craft Sisters website. The exciting grand opening of the business was in 2002. I started with 3 patterns and the ideas just keep on coming. There are always patterns in progress and I hope to add the fine crafts of a few artists in time. Please look around and enjoy the site.

I'm Robin, the one on the left with no front teeth. I started quilting in my 20s with the encouragement of our late Mom who was an extraordinary knitter. She's the one in the middle. My little sister is on the right and although not a quilter, very creative and an inspiration in many ways. My big sister isn't pictured. However, she is a fantastic quilt artist (amazing stitching) and a pine needle and raffia basket maker who has been a constant source of encouragement in getting this business started. Not to mention my loving, creative and supportive Huuudzbund (not a craft sister but business person, graphics guy, photographer, writer) who said to me when I lost my day job, "Why don't you try that quilt pattern thing you've always wanted to do?"

And so it began . . .

Ideas for patterns started to emerge when my sons grew up and left for college. I continue to produce new designs and occasionally lead workshops featuring Craft Sisters patterns. You can find photos from some of the workshops in the gallery section of the site. My main goal is that the people who buy and make the patterns have fun and enjoy the quilts for many years. All of the designs so far combine piecing and appliqué and I try to incorporate easy methods of assembly and instruction -- time is so valuable to everyone.

If you are a shop owner or retailer, I hope you'll try my patterns. If you sew or quilt, please ask for Craft Sisters patterns at your local fabric stores and quilt shops. You can also visit the how to order page for ordering options. If you do try one, please let me know how you like it and send a picture if you can of your finished quilt.
