E Komo Mai’ means welcome in Hawaiian. This fun, appliquéd table or wall quilt was inspired by an 1890’s pineapple appliqué and looks great in high contrast fabrics. Fuse and machine appliqué to make this one quickly or try all needleturn or an interfacing/needleturn combination of appliqué methods. Tropicals, batiks, folk art, patriotic and reproduction print fabrics work well for this design.The pineapple appliqué can also be used in other projects.
