Star of Nippon Asian Weave
Four fabrics and a variation of the four-patch block make this a striking table runner. Fabrics look woven together when the right contrast is used. Any style fabric will work but my favorite for this table runner uses Asian prints. Adding a simple Sashiko (Japanese surface stitching) motif where the blocks join together is optional but will add to the Asian feel of this piece. Instructions are for a three block linear runner. Keep adding blocks for a larger table or make a four block square topper for the table.
