Here is a picture of the car cuddle quilted now. Variegated thread makes it fun.
Barbara's Scrappy Hearts A Flutter in progress. Love the colors she is using.
It's been awhile and I'm excited to say there is a new free mini-quilt pattern for you up on the Moda Bake Shop.
This is pretty simple and cute in Valentine's fabrics for your table or wall. Hope you will try it.
Below is another idea using the hearts to make a car cuddle/drag around for baby or toddler. I've been wanting to make something pink so here is a quick pink fix. The dimensional hearts make a nice handle for a little one to grab. Vertical strips are either 2.5" or 5.5" wide and 36" long with a finished size of approx. 31" x 36".
All pieced now. This is really fast and would make a nice gift. I know it's only strips but I think it will be super cute once the quilting is finished. Probably some kind of overall heart motif. A good way to use scraps and leftovers. I'll post another picture when it's done.
And the winners are Linda, Heather and Anita! Hope you enjoy embroidering or appliqueing or quilting this one!
Excited to share a new baby quilt pattern on the Bake Shop. http://www.modabakeshop.com
This one is easy and there is a large monkey shape included to embroider, applique or use as a quilting motif.
I had a lot of fun embroidering the monkey and I hope you will too.
I printed out a few full sized copies of the monkey drawing so leave an I'm in or Send me the monkey comment here and your name will go in the hat for the drawing.
This was a fairly quick project to help celebrate for the 4th. The red and white stripe background is pieced and the applique is all fused to the circle. I was in a hurry so didn't stitch it down. I did stitch the circle to the standard size pillow case. Fun for July and helps to soften the bench.
I made the first quilt shown (green dot) for a new mom to be that likes pale spring colors and polka dots. I usually gravitate toward the bright and saturated but hopefully she'll like it. She is having a girl so I borrowed the skirt applique from Hula Bear and put it on this version of Peek A Bear. It's really windy this Mother's Day so not a good day to go outside and take a picture of it finished. Here's a little video so you can at least see the colors.
Can't tell you how many of these bear quilts I have made over the years (scroll down for a few pics) but I always have fun. Love the big bear applique and getting to hand embroider around it with blanket stitch. Happy Day to all the Mom's out there.

Here's the beach house row pattern. Managed to finish it in time for World Wide Quilting Day
on Saturday the 21st. Are you celebrating? Previous post has more quilt pictures and how it was made.
Click and download the .pdf file then print out instructions. Hope you have fun with it and or pass on to a quilting friend.
Here's what I ended up making out of those gorgeous batiks and Hawaiian prints from an earlier post. This is an easy beach house row quilt. There are two different, pieced, houses using Hawaiian floral prints for house bodies and batiks for the roofs. Rows in-between the houses are a variety of blue batiks sewn into strips. I added some small appliquéd fish to two of the rows for fun. The shapes are simple and easy to appliqué. Eventually, a free downloadable pattern for this will be posted in case you want to try it. My Hawaiian version finished out at approx 72" x 84" or twin size. The house blocks are 12" square finished. Any fun, beachy, fabrics and batiks would work for this.
Scraps from the roof fabrics were used to make the fish. An overall Plumeria pattern was quilted on the house and background rows. Watery swirls over the water and fish rows.
Just letting you know Craft Sisters is taking a vacation and going off the grid for a week. No kidding, no phones, no email. Whew... it will be so nice.
While we're away, you can still order and download patterns. Paper patterns ordered during that time,
2/17 - 2/24, will be shipped on Wednesday 2/25. We'll return messages on that day too.
