It took six months to work up the courage and finally cut into her beautiful wedding dress. Pattern is from UpCountry Quilting by Designer Sharon Balai. 
The applique was cut from the train of Andrea's beautiful embroidered satin gown and appliqued on to a piece of Island Batik. A little more embroidery was added along with some fresh water pearl beads and ribbon. Background was quilted with pearl cotton that added a lot of texture (shows in second photo). A very enjoyable hand project for my wonderful daughter-in-law.
